Position: AI Research Intern

The Role

*Please note: This role will be full-time hours (37.5 hours per week), for a duration of 4 months (May 6 to August 23, 2024).

The AI Research Intern will be involved in developing an AI capability for Compugen focused on a well-defined usage model. The foundation will be to use a Large Language Model (LLM) engine, and the objective of this role is to create a local LLM that can run on a standalone basis within a customer’s secure network.

There is a need to develop a basic understanding of how current models work and what types of applications would be most appropriate. Our goal at Compugen will be to help guide our customers on this journey in a structured manner.

What the Role Entails:
  • Create a fully functioning, local operating version of an LLM that can be tuned for specific business applications
  • Setup and management of this environment under our current preference Llama 2 from Meta
  • Develop excellent skills in using open source dev tools including
  • GitHub and its variants
  • Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow
  • Hugging Face
  • Other tools to be explored
  • Identify specific work flows that would be amenable to the AI model with a focus on an organization’s documents
  • Engage and develop working relationships with our vendor partners (Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Lenovo and Microsoft)
  • Participate in training of Compugen staff and engaging with customers
  • Preparation of weekly tracking documentation on progress
Skills + Qualifications You’ll Bring:
  • Proficient in Python, along with experience in popular deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow

The Role

  • Gather and document operating procedure and workflow requirements
  • Working in conjunction with the team, evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements and uncover areas for improvement
  • Lead requirement gathering discussions across all cross functional departments and technology vendors
  •  Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings; documenting and communicating the results of your efforts
  • Working in conjunction with the team, collaborate with Compugen Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) and business stakeholders to ensure alignment, buy in, communication and implementation success of assigned service automation initiatives
  • Actively inform stakeholders on progress, timelines, roadblocks, risks, dependencies and prioritization of all deliverables
  • Complete user acceptance testing as required
  • Ensure assigned projects meet and exceed required customer and business goals

  • Experience gathering requirements and documenting technical environments (roadmap, SOW, SLA)

The Role

The Operations team relies on business analytics to identify future business opportunities and report the performance. The Business Intelligence Analyst Intern will work with the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to learn about Compugen’s data collection, modelling and visualization methods with the goal of enhancing reporting effectiveness and efficiency.

What the Role Entails:
  • Provide analytical support via hands-on Excel work while leveraging other tools as necessary (SQL, PowerBI, Power Automate, Java Script); Understand data and business flows to accurately gather, create and analyze data from complex data sources. Identify opportunities to improve the look and feel of various reports
  • Maintain data cleanliness, ensuring accuracy of reports and source data
  • Work on Business Intelligence reporting structure and content organization
  • Participate in database and BI Package development sessions to document solutions and provide input to enhancements
  • Participate in an Operations project related to measuring and monitoring Business Intelligence systems
  • Support ad-hoc requests from different business units through the utilization of JDE, DAS, and other tools. Develop both operational and ad-hoc reports to enhance overall operational effectiveness

The Infrastructure and Security Intern will assist the Infrastructure and Security team on various projects tied to Business Continuity, an overarching priority for the team in 2024.

What the Role Entails:
  • Actively participate in daily security operation calls to promptly identify, prioritize, and investigate security incidents
  • Contribute to security compliance efforts for both accounts and endpoints
  • Work on Business Continuity activities that include helping to interview business leaders for business impact assessments, documenting recovery actions, and support with monitoring progress
  • Support the registration of all Compugen assets in Intune for streamlined asset management
  • Assist in the investigation of basic security incidents to improve overall cybersecurity measures
  • Conduct cleanup in Active Directory in preparation for the transition to Azure AD

The Modern Workspace Intern will be involved in client project delivery support (Professional Services), sales support, practice development and documentation initiatives on the Modern Workspace team. Within this role, the intern will gain knowledge and experience in the standardization of processes and enhancing documentation, as well as delivering quality projects to client and learning new technologies.

What the Role Entails:

Client delivery activities (50%)

  • Provide support to delivery consultants and project management staff
  • Organize and coordinate client meetings to facilitate clear communication and project alignment
  • Develop, modify, and improve client Microsoft 365 platform solutions and management processes
  • Support platform deployment, migration, and modernization efforts for clients
  • Support in systems integration testing, application functionality testing, and user acceptance testing

The Role

The PMO Analyst Intern will support a key initiative in the Project Management Office (PMO) through assisting in the planning and implementation of our new Professional Services Automation tool (PSA) as part of the Modernization of Project Services Delivery initiative.  The intern will gain exposure and be engaged in the activities required to launch a new toolset within our services organization and understand how the Project Managers will use the tool to help manage their projects.

What the Role Entails:
  • Assist the PMO management team with planning for the implementation of a new PSA tool for the Project Managers, which may include activities such as:
  • Preparing training materials
  • Creation of SOP documentation
  • Executing test cases
  • Data migration strategy development

The Role

The Pricing Analyst Intern will support organizing, reporting, and creating SharePoint sites and Power BI dashboards. This role will support the expansion of current processes with the goal of increasing margin through Program Management, Vendor Relations, Deal Registration, and Customer Profile Management. 

What the Role Entails:
  • Support the migration and expansion of current processes and projects, such as automation in POS reporting and bulk pricing upload to our ERP system
  • Support the SharePoint migration between libraries
  • Create a consolidated site for Vendor Management, RFP Management, along with business area sites under Materials Management
  • Support the Pricing Analyst with Power BI dashboard creation and reporting
  • Participate in process automation and enhancements across multiple areas within the Pricing domain (program management, bid automation, feed automation, POS reporting, etc.)
Skills and Qualifications You’ll Bring:

Position: Service Catalogue Administrator Intern

The Role

*Please note: This role will be full-time hours (37.5 hours per week), for a duration of 4 months (May 6 to August 23, 2024).

The Service Catalogue Administrator Intern will be supporting projects and day-to-day initiatives within the Service Portfolio Management (SPM) team. This role will be dedicated to maintaining the Service Catalogue to a high standard of quality and relevance, thereby elevating the overall experience with the Catalogue for its primary audience: Account Executives, Sales Leaders, and Inside Sales Representatives. 

In addition to the maintenance of the Service Catalogue, the Intern will help us plan and design our next-generation Service Catalogue. This role involves two primary projects:
  • Oversee the migration of the Service Catalogue to SharePoint Online
  • Formulate a plan for shifting the Catalogue to being customer self-service (vs. current internal)
What the Role Entails:
  • Service Catalogue Administration:

o    Update content and files (e.g., price changes)
o    Activity analysis through tracking of what is working and what needs attention
o    Aged item recommendations based on criteria
o    Improvements to appearance and relevance
o    Monthly report generation
o    Publish  updates to  service offers: 

o    Coordinate collateral creation and translation with Marketing 
o    Coordinate item code (SKU) creation with Sales Operations

  • Service Catalogue Dashboard (PowerBI) administration:

o    Monitor the Service Dashboard and identify any anomalies in its data or functionality
o    Regularly review the dashboard for staleness and performance gaps; highlighting these so corrective actions can be taken
o    Track and report on the resolution of all SC Dashboard related issues and remediations

  • Projects:
  • Migration of the Service Catalogue from SharePoint to SharePoint Online
  • Create a testdev version of the Catalogue using SharePoint Online
  • Migrate content from the old catalogue to the new testdev version
  • Create content and links to other resources as needed
  • Oversee the cut over into production
  • Plan the migration of the Service Catalogue to becoming customer self-service:
    • Understand and document the business requirements
    • Formulate a high-level migration plan
    • Identify a complete list of risks and challenges

  • Create a fully functioning, local operating version of an LLM that can be tuned for specific business applications
  • Setup and management of this environment under our current preference Llama 2 from Meta

  • Formulate a plan for shifting the Catalogue to being customer self-service (vs. current internal)
What the Role Entails:
  • Service Catalogue Administration:

o    Update content and files (e.g., price changes)
o    Activity analysis through tracking of what is working and what needs attention
o    Aged item recommendations based on criteria
o    Improvements to appearance and relevance
o    Monthly report generation
o    Publish  updates to  service offers: 

o    Coordinate collateral creation and translation with Marketing 
o    Coordinate item code (SKU) creation with Sales Operations

  • Service Catalogue Dashboard (PowerBI) administration:

o    Monitor the Service Dashboard and identify any anomalies in its data or functionality
o    Regularly review the dashboard for staleness and performance gaps; highlighting these so corrective actions can be taken
o    Track and report on the resolution of all SC Dashboard related issues and remediations

  • Projects:
  • Migration of the Service Catalogue from SharePoint to SharePoint Online
  • Create a testdev version of the Catalogue using SharePoint Online
  • Migrate content from the old catalogue to the new testdev version
  • Create content and links to other resources as needed
  • Oversee the cut over into production
  • Plan the migration of the Service Catalogue to becoming customer self-service:
    • Understand and document the business requirements
    • Formulate a high-level migration plan
    • Identify a complete list of risks and challenges
Skills and Qualifications You’ll Bring:
  • Experience with SharePoint, SharePoint Online, and SharePoint Design
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Teams
  • Ambitious and able to take initiative, with the ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • You must be comfortable working in a hybrid work model with a combination of remote plus onsite work

Position: SharePoint Migration Intern
Reporting to: 
Purchasing Manager

: Richmond Hill, ON (Hybrid)

The Role

*Please note: This role will be full-time hours (37.5 hours per week), for a duration of 4 months (May 6 to August 23, 2024).

The SharePoint Migration Intern will manage a key project within our Purchasing team of migrating the current document management system to Microsoft SharePoint Cloud. This project will not only optimize workflow efficiency but also facilitate a comprehensive rebuilding of our Vendor SharePoint Site, improving accessibility to information and the user experience.

What the Role Entails:
  • Gather requirements from internal stakeholders to determine goals and needs of the new SharePoint environment
  • Analyze existing data, content and configurations, and translate them into a new environment identifying ways to optimize data layout and efficiency
  • Modify, test and debug SharePoint pages ensuring the new environment is working optimally
  • Support with the launch of the new SharePoint environment including end user training
Skills and Qualifications You’ll Bring:
  • Strong experience with SharePoint (i.e. workflow creation, library migration, etc.) and basic understanding of document management systems
  • Strong data, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented and highly motivated with a commitment to delivering high-quality results
  • You must be comfortable working in a hybrid work model with a combination of remote plus onsite work
